The ambiance is cozy and casual, perfect for a laid-back dining experience whether you're solo, with friends, or on a casual date. The atmosphere is further enhanced by cute outdoor seating, allowing you to soak in the vibrant energy of the neighborhood. And while the restaurant is cash-only, many patrons agree that the delicious experience makes it well worth the extra effort.

Each dish at Cafe Tibet tells a story—vibrant, hearty, and true to its Tibetan roots. A standout on the menu is the PHING SHA, a delightful combination of glass noodles and potatoes, seasoned with coriander, available in a choice of vegetables, beef, chicken, or pork for just $13.99. For those seeking something crispy and satisfying, the ROCK N ROLL is an absolute must-try. Whether you opt for the chicken, beef, pork, or succulent shrimp, you'll enjoy a stir-fried medley of mixed vegetables resting atop deep-fried noodles, all bursting with flavor for $15.99.

And don’t miss out on the HOT & SWEET DISHES. The HOT & SWEET CHICKEN features crispy battered chicken bathed in a vibrant sweet chili sauce, paired beautifully with rice or the traditional Tibetan bread called tingmo, all for $13.99. A recent customer, ‘Dane Martel’, raved about the Mango fried rice and soup dumplings, which are excellent choices if you're looking to explore the depths of Tibetan cuisine for the first time. In the words of another loyal patron, ‘Isabel Dever,' the spicy momo is incredible—perfect for dipping and savoring every delicious morsel.

Amongst the warm praises and satisfied murmurs, customers like ‘Juan Amadiz’ appreciate the authentic feel of the venue, as it often feels like ‘mom and pops’ are in the back cooking your food—a testimony to the restaurant's genuine essence. But don’t rush; while the service might be a bit slower at times, the moment your meal arrives, you’ll see that good things take time. As ‘Achara Kelley’ aptly noted, certain dishes like the lamb Thali and pork chili are so consistently delightful that it’s hard to resist ordering them each visit.

Cafe Tibet stands out not only for its unique and flavorful dishes but for the warm experience of dining within its vibrant walls. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Tibetan cuisine or attempting it for the first time, each visit promises to be an adventure worth savoring. Love this place. It’s cash only. Usually order the mango lassi which is amazing. The app I got were the chickpeas which were a little dry and the cabbage salad. The lamb curry which is good it used to come in a bigger portion also it used to taste better but it’s still good. The other main dish was the chicken mango which was really good. I highly recommend this place and trying new dishes every time you go.

This spot is conveniently located right beside the subway station. Momo combo + Tibetan iced tea is the way to go.

Fantastic experiences at Cafe Tibet! Get their Mango fried rice! And their soup dumplings! Their delicious if you're looking to try Tibetan food for the first time this is the place for you! It's super casual and super cute ambiance. Right next to the Cortelyu metro station. Has cute outdoor seating too. The only problem is there isn't a bathroom and their stuff is a bit pricey for the portion sizes which are definitely on the smaller size. Otherwise I love this place and am looking forward to be back

I really like this place compared to others in the neighborhood. Mom and pops are in the back cooking the food and its taste is authentic. The only complaint is that it's cash only. Not a big issue, but you need to make sure you have cash if you go.

Great food, great size portions, and all for a great price. Everything we had was outstanding. Must try if you are near.

Cash only spot and prices are great considering what you get. Food is delicious but takes a while and there was no ac so it was a little uncomfortable. I got chicken thali and it was very good. The beef momos were also pretty good. All in all I would come back and try other dishes.

A really lovely place with really delicious food. I had their spicy momo, chili chicken, and chana katsa. The chana tasted a lot like boiled peanuts but more flavorful, which was a delight. The spicy momo was incredible, I literally ate spoonfuls of the sauce once we had eaten all the momos. Chili chicken was good, but next time i’d opt to try a noodle dish. The atmosphere was nice, a perfect date night. Highly recommend!

I have been here so many times in the past 10 years. Finally, I am writing a review. I tend to get the same dishes every time because they are consistently good. My go-to dishes are lamb Thali, pork chili, and momo. We tried fried momo this time and the fried version was perfect with the crispy texture. The service here is very friendly but slow. But once your food arrives at your table, your hanger will be gone within the first bite. So it is worth the wait but best to go there when you are not so hungry. Updated (03/05/23): this is still my favorite spot for Himalayan restaurant in the neighborhood. I just cannot help it to order lamb Thali again. So delish!
